Abstract

This article examines the current state and evolution of Waldorf schools in Catalonia, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the founding of the El Til·ler School in Bellaterra and the centenary of the death of Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925), the founder of the movement. Using a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews, data were collected from 24 Waldorf educational initiatives. The analysis focuses on their territorial distribution, educational offerings, founding motivations, family involvement, structural challenges, and sustainability strategies. The results indicate that this is a minority yet resilient school model, sustained by a highly committed community.
